The Red Paintings announce new UK tour dates

Australian orchestral art rockers The Red Paintings are in the midst of an ambitious world tour in support of their album ?The Revolution Is Never Coming?, released in late 2013. In May, the band will return to the UK to?tour with alternative rock stalwarts InMe for 9 shows. The tour comes soon after recently completing a successful 22-date headlining tour of the UK & Europe in February and sees the band featuring a brand new stage show in the UK, themed for their single ?You?re Not One Of Them.? Known for their incredible live performances, The Red Paintings are a five-piece orchestral art rock group (guitar, bass, drums, cello & violin) who incorporate themed costumed stage shows, live art, visual projections and human canvases to create a truly unique art experience that reflects the band?s music and energy in real time. ?You?re Not One Of Them? has so far picked up airplay on triple j, XFM, the BBC and a number of US stations, hitting #40 on the US FMQB sub-modern chart. In Australia, the track spent 4 weeks in the Top 10 most requested at Australian community radio?s digital AMRAP service, also spending 3 weeks in the German college radio Top 100. The track has been added to Kerrang Radio, 6 Towns Radio, Roundhouse Radio and Amazing Radio, with the band taking over the airwaves on studio visits during their recent UK headline shows. After performing in the UK at the Y Not Festival and Rebellion Festival (alongside The Darkness, The Horrors and more), the band completed a US tour supporting ?And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.? Prior to that, they completed a headlining tour of Australia and sold-out tours of the UK, Europe and USA with The Pineapple Thief & Mindless Self Indulgence. Originally formed in Geelong, the band have released three EPs to date (Walls, Feed The Wolf, Destroy The Robots), toured worldwide as support for The Dresden Dolls, performed at multiple Big Day Out festivals, Livid, The Great Escape and more. The debut album ?The Revolution Is Never Coming? was 5 years in the making and features a 35-piece orchestra, 22-piece choir and 13 tracks of biting, futuristic alternative rock. ?There is nothing to fault in this extraordinary debut and it will no doubt bring further international acclaim to the Australian band. 10/10.? ?
