New sleepmakeswaves track to premiere on triple j this Sunday
Sydney ambient/melodic post-rockers SLEEPMAKESWAVES have announced the first taste of music from their forthcoming second album in the form of a driving electronic-rock epic called ?Something Like Avalanches? which will premiere on Sunday May 11th on Triple J with Richard Kingsmill, between 7-8pm EST (10-11am GMT). The new track shows the band pushing the boundaries of their signature sound, their trademark guitar melodies and shattering climaxes now support by a newfound groove and the powerful live energy captured in the recording. Currently finishing up?a mammoth 20-date tour of the UK and Europe, sleepmakeswaves,?will announce further details about their album & forthcoming tour dates in the coming days. The first official single from the album will be announced in June. Recorded in Byron Bay at Studio 301 with producer Nick DiDia (Karnivool, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Powderfinger, Rage Against The Machine), the album was supported by a Pozible pre-order campaign, through which the band raised over $30,000 from fans. The instrumental post-rock/prog quartet have had an amazing run since the release of their debut album ??and so we destroyed everything.??
