Tangled Thoughts of Leaving Pull Back From Touring Due to Health Concerns
In an announcement yesterday made on social media, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving told fans they would be pulling back from their touring commitments for the next few months.
Read the statement to fans below.
“Hi everybody. Firstly, thank you for your support for an amazing tour around Australia. It was a wonderful experience to play the new album live and get back out there after so long. It's been amazing to see so many people picking up merch and the records since we got home.
Unfortunately we have some difficult news to share.
After the final show with Russian Circles last month, Gracie woke up in Melbourne with what she thought was a blocked ear, out of the blue. After flying home to Perth, Gracie was told by doctors that she had suddenly completely lost hearing in one ear.
Since then Gracie has been undergoing daily treatment to try and get her hearing back. As you would understand, this is devastating news for a musician. There is hope that this can be turned around, but to give the best chance of success, Gracie needs to avoid drums (and the rest of us making noise!) for a while, and concentrate on her health. It’s amazing that she has been willing to share this with people to raise awareness of the issue, but we also ask that everyone respect her privacy. We will post updates if and when the time is appropriate.
So with that said, unfortunately we must pull out of our shows for the next couple of months. Apologies to everyone who had planned to catch us at Dunk, London and in Perth - but we must put health and well-being first right now.
We'll work on new plans to get back to the northern hemisphere and back around Australia when the time is right. In the meantime, we have some more new music on the way which we’ll share with you very soon.
Much love,
TToL”
